Messium is a UK agri-tech company utilising the latest hyperspectral satellite constellations for agricultural analysis.
Some of the latest hyperspectral satellite data providers have some temporary limitations:
- CE90 Georectification is 100m
- Cloud cover masks are not provided
- Cloud shadow masks are not provided
Messium is building an in-house tool that geo-rectifies imagery to ~6m accuracy using Sentinel-2 imagery as base reference, however our tool requires manual selection of ground control points. Messium is also building an in-house tool to manually create masks for cloud cover and cloud shadow.
We are looking for GIS students/researchers to engage in part time work for:
- Manual ground control point selection for geo-rectification of satellite imagery (10-15 ground control points per image)
- Manual cloud cover and cloud shadow masking of satellite imagery
We expect to have 100-120 images available for processing by 10 September. Additional imagery would become available for processing on a rolling basis over the next 12 months.
