We have collaborating institutions and experts in the field of science and research all over the world. The department as a whole, its individual staff and students are members of many professional Czech and global associations in the field of cartography and geoinformatics.
Department of Geoinformatics is a collective member of the Czech Association for Geoinformation (http://www.cagi.cz)
Department of Geoinformatics is one of the most important cartographic institutions in the Czech Republic. Major cartographic activities of the Czech Republic, the competition provides an organizational map of Children’s Drawing Contest and Barbara Petchenik. The soil holds its annual day of Cartography and in 2009 will host the 18th cartographic conference. (http://www.czechmaps.cz).
Geoinformatics Department works closely with the Czech geographic society and is the seat of the Section of Cartography and GIS (http://www.geography.cz).
Geoinformatics Department works closely with the Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (http://www.sfdp.upol.cz).

Department of Geoinformatics is a member of Digital Earth Alliance (part of EUROGI) which is a group of European higher education institutions that offer programs in Geographic Information (GI). They are working together to create a single brand to promote GI studies and increase awareness of career opportunities in this field.
