The map of the aesthetic value of the cultural landscape of the Archdiocese of Olomouc brings a new, previously unaddressed topic of visualizing the perception of the aesthetic values of the landscape. The creation of a methodology of aesthetic evaluation is based on the general concept of perception of the environment in a positive or negative sense. Positive ratings are given to elements that are evaluated as welcome and sought after, enriching, visited, preferred for living, staying or visiting a destination, based on expert assessment. Opposite ratings are given to sites perceived negatively, and therefore with no need to visit, no preference for living and staying. The resulting map presents a new view of landscape perception with a clear preference for natural sites.
