It is a doctoral project covering diverse research areas of PhD students of the Department of Geoinformatics supported by an internal grant from Palacký University. All research areas cover a general supporting question, namely the application of geoinformatics and cartography, which is interwoven across the subtopics. The project is based on the thesis and dissertation topics of the students at the Department of Geoinformatics of the Faculty of Science.
The project is divided into two main key activities, which are further divided into subtopics that correspond to the dissertation theses:
KA 1 Advanced geovisualization methods and evaluation of cartographic products,
KA 2 Advanced spatial analysis and modelling of socio-economic phenomena and landscape systems.
