The main objective of the project is to create a common map portal, designed a) to assess the vulnerability of the landscape to the impacts of climate change and b) containing a methodological procedure for the design of adaptation measures based on prepared landscape vulnerability analyses and simultaneous assessment of the degree of performance of selected ecosystem functions and services (EFS).

Sub-objectives:

(i) To compare national approaches to vulnerability analysis,
ii) apply national methodologies to each other’s territory through pilot studies.
iii) to develop a new, unified approach for the whole area of interest of the Czech Republic and Slovakia border regions, with the potential for a uniform application at the scale of entire countries.

Vulnerability will be categorised based on the current state and functionality of the landscape. A unified assessment of the degree of fulfilment of selected EFS will be carried out. On this basis, a unified methodology for designing adaptation measures will be developed, with particular attention to ecosystem services.
