The goal of this bachelor thesis was to update scripts for calculating the Walkability index. Scripts were rewritten into a functional form for ArcGIS 10.X and even for ArcGIS Pro. All of the indexes have been amended with an extended help and the scripts themselves have been amended with commentaries about variables.
Script for calculating the Connectivity index was extended with a new functionality. The biggest extension concerns the possibility to eliminate parking lots, which mostly affect the results of the index. Originally, this extension should have been a new and separate part of the whole toolbox but during programming and testing it showed that it would be best to add it into the Connectivity index calculation. The next extension is the possibility to eliminate industrial areas. Unfortunately thanks to these extensions, the time necessary to calculate the Connectivity index has increased.
Visualisation of indexes took place within Olomouc, Ostrava, Katowice, Lipsko, Košice and Székesvehervar. Unfortunately the resultant Walkability index could not be calculated due to non-existent data about commercial areas and data regarding number of houses in individual administrative districts.
